(the battery compartment is also ‘safe’ for the child as user has to use a screw driver to open it when replacing the batteries.) will have to test that later and besides, even in this shape and the way it is, my little child won’t be able to play ‘sophisticated’ chords like that at such an early age anyway, so this is a great instrument for her and she likes it too! 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. But now I have read, (in another reviewer’s review), that this tiny “toy” keyboard is POLYPHONIC! That is, you can play more than one note at a time on it! This other reviewer said one can play FIVE notes at a time on it! Gosh — except for my regular, old-fashioned piano, I’ve never been able to do THAT on a keyboard before! (I havr several “toy” keyboards — all far bigger, and unweildly, (albeit with more notes), than this one, and one “pro” keyboard, which I have not yet been able to use. Maybe it will allow me to play five notes at a time…I can’t tell yet.) But a small, polyphonic “toy” keyboard will be INVALUABLE to me, if I want to figure out 11th, 12th, and 13th(????) chords for my musical compositions! And, as I have said, it is SO small, it even allows for my music composition book to stay on the table with it!) “Toy” piano keyboards are, for children, toys indeed. But a “toy” keyboard need not be JUST a toy! For me, it’s a serious music composing tool! Yes, there is no-on-and off switch, but that matters little to me. Just keep a screwdriver handy, to take out the batteries when the keyboard will not be used a lot. But I’m beginning to realize that those periods will, for me, probably be |
